Jean never learned to drive a car. One evening she and John were traveling on the highway. John kept worrying that he thought he had a headlight out. As they were meeting an oncoming car when the driver dimmed his lights for John, Jean said "Oh John you do have a headlight out. That driver is signalling you."

I Remember Jack:(sister: Betty)

As kids we had two front doors from our porch. All the kids slept in the back room from one of the front doors and Mom and Daddy slept in the other. One night late there came a heavy knock on the children's door and Jack raised up in bed and yelled out " WE'RE IN THERE!!!"

I Remember Betty :(sister: Jean)

Once Daddy had Betty sew some buttons on the fly of his pants. Betty (being creative) sewed all different colored buttons including red on it. Daddy was at the stock yard sale and some fellow asked "Bud who sewed those buttons on your pants?". Daddy said "Aww Betty did that, thats what they teach them in that blasted Home Ec. at school.

I Remember Bart (Nanny)

Bart was visiting Nanny and Poppa in their Log Home and he was jumping off the stair steps. He was only two and a half years old and was small. He kept adding stairs and got up to four steps and jumped off. He picked himself up and on his little wobbly legs said"I WONT DO THAT AGAIN". It has become a Bartism when things go awry at our house.

I Remember ClayBear ( Nanny)

Claybear was spending the night with Nanny and Poppa (age 3 ) and was sleeping with Nanny. During the night he woke up crying and Nanny was trying to comfort him saying," Its O.K. Baby you are just having a nightmare.", He flipped over Nanny and said ,"Then you get over there and have it Nanny."

I Remember Robby Jerome (Mother)

Robby was walking to school,(age 6) one day and fell down in the mud. She came home awash in tears and exclaimed ,"I'm not going back. I'd rather be absent than tardy".
