A Visit from the Aints

For as long as I can remember I have always loved visits by all of the Almond ladies. "Aint" Jean, "Aint" Betty, "Aint" Robby, and of course "Aint" Martha. Everytime they visit, my stomach is sore for a week after they leave from rolling with laughter at these  four unique women. Each has their own sense of humor and wonderful personality. Usually they come in singles. The  last visit, although under not so good circumstances (the death of my grandfather Jack), was one of the best since they all came. I thouroughly enjoyed spending time with all of them. The visit I just mentioned was just this past fall. There wasnt a dry eye in Grandma's kitchen the night after the funeral, not from sadness, but from the crazy antics of Betty and all of the things she "made". And then the friendly, sisterly bickering of the four. I only wish that the visit could have lasted longer. I never can get enough of these extraordinary ladies. I love every one of you so much and each of you have a special place in my heart!
